python01 Posted August 13, 2012 Report Posted August 13, 2012 I am trying to get communication going between Mitsubishi Profibus Master QJ71PB92V and Siemens 6ES7158-0AD01-0XA0. When I didi investigate my diagnostics messages it showed that "Parameter transmitted by the master is incorrect". The RSP ERR diode on the master is also red. I just don't know what to look for since I have never worked with these devices before. Would it be difference in Parameter settings between the ones set in Mitsubishi and the ones in Siemens coupler? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, I am attaching the screen shot showing the errror. Thanks. dpslavestatus.bmp Quote
kaare_t Posted August 14, 2012 Report Posted August 14, 2012 Check with your supplier(s) that you have the latest available GSD files for BOTH the Mitsubishi and Siemens units. The error is pretty general, it simply indicates that the Siemens slave has received parameters from the master that does not match one or more of the parameters configured in the Siemens slave... python01 Posted August 14, 2012 Author Report Posted August 14, 2012 I have never done Profibus since we mostly use CC-Link here so the GSD files are new to me. So I need to load Mitsubishi QJ71pb92V GSD file loaded into mitsubishi module and Siemens gsd loaded into siemens module? Or is it the same GSD file loaded into both modules? Just want to make sure. Thanks. Quote
kaare_t Posted August 14, 2012 Report Posted August 14, 2012 You need 1 for Mitsubishi (provided by Mitsubishi) and 1 for Siemens (provided by Siemens). Install them into your local GSD library in GX Configurator DP, and select the correct modules that you have (on the Siemens side). Quote
python01 Posted August 21, 2012 Author Report Posted August 21, 2012 I got it but I had to install older version of Siemens GSD file, ver 1.2 As soon as I did it the error cleared. Quote
