PNP01 Posted September 13, 2012 Report Posted September 13, 2012 Does anyone have information on the 24 cpu error flags displayed on the scratch pad for a Series 6+. I can't find it in any of the manuals. Quote
Steve Bailey Posted September 14, 2012 Report Posted September 14, 2012 All I could find was this from the Logicmaster Six manual: CPU error flags are stored in Scratch Pad memory. The CPU uses these flags to record faults encountered during normal operation, or during self-checks. This display is always controlled by the CPU. If any of the error flags is set, a message appears on the line below the error flags line. Quote
PNP01 Posted September 14, 2012 Author Report Posted September 14, 2012 Thanks Steve, I'm having an intermittent 'Input Parity' fault that shuts my CPU down. I've isolated to a single I/O chain with 3-racks that have 8 to 10 cards per rack. Trying to isolate to a input address and was hoping the scratch pad would point me in the right direction. Quote
Steve Bailey Posted September 14, 2012 Report Posted September 14, 2012 Intermittent I/O parity errors like that can sometimes be caused by a bad backplane connection. Try removing and reseating the modules. Be sure to use the tool so as to get the maximum seating force. Quote
