Moggie Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 First time user with Mitsi GOTI have written a program for a GOT 10 BUT I would like to password protect the switching of one screen - ie: press button to switch screen only works if password is entered. Even after reading the GOT manual I have trouble understanding how to set the function up? Can anyone help please - with a sample project? I am using GT Designer3 ver 1.40S Many thanks. Quote
Crossbow Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 In the security settings in the project, set a register to store the current security level. Then set passwords for each level you wish to use, 1 to 15. After that, make your screen switch button have a security level on the Extended tab. Then add a button on the main screen with special function Login (Password). Very simple. Quote
JRoss Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 You could alternatively put the security level setting on the screen rather than the screen switch button. Putting the security level on the button means it won't be visible unless you're logged in at the correct level. Putting the security level on the screen means the button will be visible, but pressing it will alert the user that they need to log in. Also, IIRC, it gives them the login prompt. Quote
