Inntele Posted November 17, 2012 Report Posted November 17, 2012 Hi everybody! Has anyone worked with the new FX3U-J1939 module? What are the pitfalls? Maybe somebody has a ready-made function blocks?

Inntele Posted November 17, 2012 Author Report Posted November 17, 2012 Of course, thank you, but I have the same document already, therefore asked about the experimental results.
KAZAH Posted November 17, 2012 Report Posted November 17, 2012 in the unit there is a bug which will be fixed in 2013
Inntele Posted November 17, 2012 Author Report Posted November 17, 2012 What is the source of information? Whose experience? or it's hypothetical...
kaare_t Posted November 17, 2012 Report Posted November 17, 2012 Just wondering; do you have any prior experience With CAN, CANopen or J1939?? In addition, what will you be using the module for? What 3. party Components are you connecting to? The reason I'm wondering is that I have used the old FX2N-32CAN pretty much and I've also read some specs from J1939 in the past, just curious...
Inntele Posted November 17, 2012 Author Report Posted November 17, 2012 Hi Kaare, Yes I have an experience with FX2N-CAN, 'cause in former times wrote drivers for ACURO encoders. And this work was a hard sex, because of mistake in the manual. When the module was installed at the object, then we had a problem with module error (not in programming, but in hardware), that is not described in the manual... In the network should be genset controlers, frequency inverters, a pair of sensors and PLCs themself.
kaare_t Posted November 17, 2012 Report Posted November 17, 2012 Yes, I also remember an undescribed "error"/function, had to get help from Mitsu Germany many years ago... I'm not familiar With the J1939 module but let us know how it goes....
Inntele Posted November 17, 2012 Author Report Posted November 17, 2012 Certainly, if we'll make decision to put this beast in the project The module fits ideally in this application, but wouldn't to disrupt the timing or the project due to a crude product or its documentation.
