peak value hold the load Amplifier

hi all, i am making a programme of tensile machine basically we put the fabric between the jaws and start the process then the load cell measure the load as the fabric cut then i want to hold the peak value when fabric cut i m suing a load amplifier which gives a 4 to 20 mA signal according to load anyone help me please how to hold the peak value when the fabric cut. thanks.......

Use a compare. IF current value > stored value THEN stored value:= current value; EndIF; In ladder use a compare and if the current value is higher, move the current value into the stored value register. You will need a "reset" to clear the stored value at the beginning of a new test.
