rockyracoon1990 Posted February 4, 2013 Report Posted February 4, 2013 Hey, I joined becasue I have what I hope is an easy question that I m hoping I will be able to get help with, because well if I can get this understood I then have to actually set this up for a project. I know that Fanuc Robots have a "hand broken" safety signal that can be enabled to help protect the robot from a crash or during. What I need to know, keep in mind I really know nothing about programming robots, is how to enable this signal in the softaware Fanuc (M-710iC) then If I could have some help with how I would wire in a 3-wire PNP style prox switch to be read by the controller (the sensor will be high until a collision, where it will go low). I was told that it should be wired into the EE connector on Axis 3, does this sound correct? I dont know if that is enough information for any help what so ever, but it is really all I know as of right now. Thanks
kaiser_will Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 Does this Fanuc arm have a quick disconnect port near the wrist? Some of the newer arms have a port near the J5 axis for wrist sensor to plug in.
