gaannesh Posted March 4, 2013 Report Posted March 4, 2013 I am new to PLC, and have been called to attend the injection molding machine. (CINCINATTI MILCARON) .VICKERS rack PLC I noticed their personal by mistake connected the input wires to the output cards and output wires to the input card. I changed to its original connection. Now the problem is when power given to the output card fuse blows. i want to know what might have happened. IS the Cards need to be repaired /or replaced? Tommorow i goes there again so i prepare myself.
Moggie Posted March 4, 2013 Report Posted March 4, 2013 Yes change the output card. Note there may also have been damaged to any sensors etc that may have had the wrong voltage connected to them because of the wrong wiring on the I/O cards. What voltage are the I/O cards You may have been very lucky and the input card might be ok BUT you should have spare cards (both input and output) just in case.
gaannesh Posted March 4, 2013 Author Report Posted March 4, 2013 What voltage are the I/O cards Voltage is 24VDC
daynagirl Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 Hi there, may be there is a color coding for input and output, try to check it and also the voltage may be is not compatible. Anyway, have you had any savings? Having a large chunk of money in savings is always the very best thing to do so you can pay for any emergencies that come your way. While you are working on building that cash up, you may have emergency situations still. Many people do not have the cash flow to put too much cash away anyway. When you have a crisis and need cash, you can use a personal loan.
