Tom749 Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 (edited) Hi, When I use the current loop control way, 4~20mA, how long can I send the signal without any loss on the line normally? Is there any information or datasheet about that? Thanks for your help in advance. Edited April 19, 2013 by Tom749
Homer_BL Posted April 20, 2013 Report Posted April 20, 2013 (edited) Depends on cable type and cross-section, and on analog signal frequency too. In most cases, using shielded cable 2x0,75mm2, maximum lenght of about 300m is permitted. For voltage drop, example, total resistance (cable + analog input reststance) must not exceed a value 1kOhm, for "static" signals. Edited April 20, 2013 by Homer_BL
