mostafa Posted April 21, 2013 Report Posted April 21, 2013 hi dears i have 2 computers that are far from each other, one of them has communicate with a plc through citect scada, and i want to through second computer, communicate with plc through citect, is this possible? of course both of 2 computers are connected to internet.
BobB Posted April 21, 2013 Report Posted April 21, 2013 Have never tried this but imagine it would be possible through a VPN with a Web Cleinet ar Web Manager licence on the second computer. To obtain a Web Client or Manager your maintenence will need to be up to date and you will have to buy the licence as well. the other option would be to use Norton pcAnywhere and use the second computer to take over the first - I have done that in the past.
mostafa Posted April 22, 2013 Author Report Posted April 22, 2013 could you explain a little further about it?
BobB Posted April 22, 2013 Report Posted April 22, 2013 That is the point - I do not know about the Web Manager/Client in this way - if support is up to date ring support. If via Norton pcAnywhere buy pcAnywhere, install the master on one PC and slave on the other then set it up and you can take over the main PC. Only explanation I can offer - with pcAnywhere you just install it and set it up.
