communication problem

I have hmi panel Mitsubishi model 1020 and i want to download the program to it from my PC but i cannot find the cable , i search for the pin assignment for it which is attached but when i try to download, it usually give me error message fault in communication. i want to know the problem if it in the cable pin assignment ??? or some thing error in configuration???: i select pc host (serial rs232 ) and then select com port and data rate like port configuration i hope some one help me soon many thanks, Edited April 26, 2013 by ahmed zaki

That's the right cable. Are you using a real serial port or a USB-serial adapter?

It's a CAB30 you need

I think he means GT1020, as there is no such thing as an E1020. Only E1022. CAB30 does NOT work with GOT units.

this seem to be the communication cable between PLC and HMI but his question asks for cable to download HMI application from PC to HMI. that should be SC-Q if I'm not mistaken (or GT10-RS2TUSB-5S + GT09-C30USB-5P)

GT1020 has a terminal block for connecting the cable to the PLC. The SC-Q is the proper programming cable for the PC.
