finding plc program on pc to match program in plc

Hello, First off let me apologize if this has been asked here before. I did a search and couldn't find an answer, I may not be using the right keywords. We "inherited" some machinery from a sister company and I am trying to make sure I can connect to the machines and backup the actual programs in the machines and save under a name we can recognize. Now we got copies of their programs from their backups but they don't have them labeled well enough to figure out which goes to what machine. The Allen Bradley machines we got I was able to figure out since it looks for the processor name in rslogix when uploading from the PLC. Does Melsoft GX developer (version 8) have a similar feature? I am not familiar with Mitsubishi PLC's and Melsoft. Thanks, Terry

Hello, You can go to the online tab and select verify with PLC. Keep in mind you must browse to the project you want to verify against the PLC, it will not automatically verify against whatever project you currently have open. Hope this helps, Dave

Its a failing of Mitsubishi to not have an auto-verify button. When I am trying to find which version I am working with, I upload the program from the plc and check the step count. I then go offline and open all the versions I think it could be looking at the step count - then use the verify to be sure I am working with the right one.
