smithn1 Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 This is my first time using a Siemens PLC I am using a Siemens S7-1200 Simatic V12 with a Murr I/O MVK Dist I/O 55269 over profinet. I have setup the PLC and the I/O now I am trying to write to the device I know I need to use the WR_REC command but, I am not sure how to set it up. What I really need to do is just be able to write and read I/O from the Murr device over profinet. Is there a simple way to view the device through Simatic and force the I/O
Rod_Hackney Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 I assume this is just distributed I/O via profinet. You should have setup the I/O in your hardware configuration for the Siemens using a GSD file provided by the distributed I/O vendor. This sets up the profinet network. I/O addressing will be assigned by this and you can monitor inputs and outputs just like you use conventional rack based I/O .
Homer_BL Posted June 27, 2013 Report Posted June 27, 2013 Intall XML file from MURR (easy to find in murr site) Add 55269 to devices. Add modules to 55269 Then you will se alocated addresses for I/O.
