mbarrett87 Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 Hi all, im doing some work for a site that have sent me their Mitsubishi PLC code that has no comments tags or anything. i believe the scada for this system may be an iFix system, (the screen names are *.grf) is it possible to confirm this theory? how would i know with what version of ifix the project was done? are there trial / demo versions of the software available? all i really need to do is be able to identify what tags are what in the PLC! Thanks Mark
RussB Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 iFix does use that file extension. You can contact your local supplier to get a demo DVD of the latest version. http://support.ge-ip.com/support/index?page=spage&id=ST6&locale=en-US&locale=en_US If you can get a backup of the system, It may be more cost effective to hire someone to export the tag database for you though.
waterboy Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 I use iFix daily - If you want to upload a pic I can give you a list of tags in the pic. But you can get a demo DVD from a reseller, there is no download available. Works for 2 hours at a time
