ianreeves Posted July 13, 2013 Report Posted July 13, 2013 Hi Folks, I wonder if anyone has some advice on the 20SSC module, with a J3 servo amp attached. I'd like to be able to capture the positional encoder data when one of the interrupts is triggered ( using standard Mitsubishi Servos ). This way I can then use a slower deceleration curve without trying to stop the whole thing within 1Ms Basically I'm making a intelligent lathe and need to capture the point at which the tool touches the surface. This way it would make all the calculations much easier. Any advice is appreciated.
ianreeves Posted July 28, 2013 Author Report Posted July 28, 2013 Am guessing this is not a common event
Crossbow Posted July 31, 2013 Report Posted July 31, 2013 Typically the function of capturing the encoder value from an interrupt is used for registration mark processing, and that's not a function which the 20SSC is really used for. Registration is typically a function of the Q Series motion CPUs and some motion modules, not the FX Series.
ianreeves Posted August 9, 2013 Author Report Posted August 9, 2013 I'd come to that conclusion, With a fast deceleration I can get close I think. But just wondered Thanks for your help Ian
