PL7, TSXDEY32D2K connect to incremental encoder directly

Dear All I have a design that the DI; TSXDEY32D2K will connect to incremental encoder directly. The software using is PL7 I am not sure does it work or not and I have tried to find a function to program to read the encoder but it does not work till now Any one have idea how to program for that? Thanks in advance

If I remember my part numbers, that's a discrete input module, not a high speed counter module. It's not designed for high speed pulse inputs like encoders.

Dear Crossbow The encoder speed pulse is 300 kHz and I think it is workable. I have seen some one designed like this before but don't know what function they has used to read the pulse Tks

They used a high speed counter input. You cannot bring a 300KHz signal into a standard DC input module. There is no way. Most of those modules require the input to be on for no less than 0.5 to 1ms. That means by the time you turn it off and back on, max about 500 pulses per second. Get the right hardware for the application.
