Div_by_zero Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 What are the main reasons for choosing a Productivity 3000 platform over a Do-More platform? Both are great PLCs/PACs no doubt, but generally speaking, what would push someone towards one or the other? Thanks for any help, as always.
TimWilborne Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 I've used the Domore PLC quite a bit and have been extremely happy with it. All those times we've wished the Directsoft would do more...the Do-more does.
App Engineer Posted December 4, 2014 Report Posted December 4, 2014 Both are excellent controllers. One difference is that the Productivity series is Tag based where the Do-more is fixed memory based (similar to the DirectLogic) although the memory areas can be increased or decreased in size as needed. The P3000 will support more I/O. Both systems support Structures which I think is very useful. Both are very powerful PLC's and I would highly recommend either. It's actually hard to make a decision between the two but you won't be disappointed no matter what you decide. At least in my opinion. 1
gclshortt Posted January 19, 2015 Report Posted January 19, 2015 I agree with App Engineer. Both are excellent controllers. I would find an application and then match what controller to used based upon what is required. Regards, Garry http://www.accautomation.ca
