MS Excel and Citect

I was told to link excel and citect together. i need to let my citect program to read the particular excel cell infromation. i've been trying to connect them but it nvr seems to connect. can anybody please help me with the connections. do i need to do any programming or create a varible/trend tag before i could connect them? i really need help here, thanx a lot regards Mart
