denise01 Posted May 3, 2014 Report Posted May 3, 2014 Hello I am connecting 4 MX2s using modbus via a scu 31 card CJ1M I am controlling the run signal via the terminal and am controlling the speeds on a NS HMI. I have connected the Inverters and have got good speed control on Node 1 but when I apply the Run signal to Node 2 the Inverter runs up to its base frequency and then slowly raises its speed until it reached max frequency. Do I need to turn on the Terminal Resistor on the fourth Drive as I cant get any control via the HMI Node 1 and 2 have the same settings so not sure. The Modbus Easy Master recognises all 4 Drives Has anyone experienced similar problems. Thanks Peter Quote
BobB Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 All serial comms lines should have a terminator either inbuilt or external. Quote
denise01 Posted May 4, 2014 Author Report Posted May 4, 2014 Okay thanks.Do you mean that I should turn on the Terminator Resistor on each MX2 or just the last node. Quote
