Ryan H Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 Hey guys, I've been tasked with selecting an OEE package for the plant. We have a bunch of CNC machines, lathes, etc. Anybody have experience (either personally or at their plant/heard rumours) on what the best/worst packages are? If I'm bringing in vendors from outside to implement their packages, what should I be asking? (other than price, how long it takes to implement, screenshots) What are the most important features to YOU or your boss (eg: which should be the same as my plant manager) Cheers Ryan
RussB Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 (edited) OEE (Overall Equipment Effectivenes) is a calculation. I would guess that Excel would be a good choice. Anything beyond this is "smoke & mirror" hype. The key is collecting all the pertinent data needed for the calculations, for this look into some form of "Historian" software.
