Bikeboy7890 Posted June 23, 2014 Report Posted June 23, 2014 Hey guys, I haven't been here long, but I did search the forum and saw nothing on this. I am very new to the world of PLCs and HMIs, and I am currently working on a project that involves an Omron NB3Q HMI. I am using NB Designer to develop the code for this device, but I am looking for a way to view the info in the registers (specifically the FRW and the LW registers) to see if the data is being stored in the right places. If it helps to understand what I am doing in order to offer assistance, I am attempting to create a linked list type data storage in the flash section of memory for storing run parameters for a system I am developing. In order to do this within the confines of the HMI's macros, I have to run various macros that increment and decrement a couple index variables to ensure that the storage locations are changing as you add to the sections of memory. As stated previously, I am new to this stuff, and this is only my 6th day working on this (I am an intern). Thanks for any help!
Bikeboy7890 Posted June 26, 2014 Author Report Posted June 26, 2014 Bump? Anyone know how I can see the actual memory space? I want to see where things are being stored. Please, any information would be helpful.
Michael Walsh Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 Put a display on one of your screens on the HMI that shows the value in the register.
