Q68 ADI install help

Hi, i have an existing 12 slot rack with a Q series processor with input and output modules. I want to add a new Q68ADI analog input module what steps should i be aware when installing this mode. What I know is that i will need to configure this card within the PLC parameters i/o assignment and to download the new parameters to the PLC using GX IEC Develop 7.04. But what other steps do i need to be aware of? Stu

Obviously writing code to make use of it. But you pretty much nailed all the steps you have to do to install it. And make sure to do it with power OFF. The Q is NOT hot swappable.

Have attached a screen shot of the settings that I used recently for a Q02 with IEC 7.04. Few things to note: The analogue input cards only take up 16 memory addresses. I like to set the cards up so that they will read in 0 - 20 ma on a 0 -12,000 bits scaling. This means that a 4-20 ma sender will read 2400 at 4ma and 12000 at 20 ma. Cheers Colin
