AC DC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 I have 5 language labels with yellow, white, blue, red etc. lines. I made an 6st label and all the text attributes are black (default). To change colors I have change each text or button etc. 1 by 1 with "apply attribute". Is there a trick to change them all at once, because black on black is hard to see. There are only 3867 text lines. Quote
Andy_P Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Can you just select many of them at a time by holding down the Shift button, then change colours etc from the Formatting toolbar? This will then change all that you have selected. Andy. Quote
AC DC Posted October 3, 2004 Author Report Posted October 3, 2004 (edited) It only changes the color of the first selected label. The same problem happens with date and time if you use it in the screens. It stay's on default settings, but if you change the settings in one label you have change the other labels to. For the text colors: If you make a new project and want to use multiple labels, choose all 16, so you have to change all text colors once (I have 4000 lines), instead off 16 * 4000 line colors to change. Andy_P Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 If I understand you correctly, you are using multiple labels, defined by the 'Switch Label' tab in the 'Settings->Project Properties' dialogue. You then have numerous text objects which have differing texts depending on which 'Label' you have selected. If these two assumptions are correct, then the line from my previous post is correct: Next, to move to the next 'Label' setting, you can scroll through all of them by clicking on the 'Next Label' or 'Previous Label' buttons that are on the 'Functional Object Operation' toolbar. (They are indicated by the word CAP with an arrow beneath them). You may have this toolbar as a floating window. You can do this with all of your objects selected and change colours, fonts etc, for all of your label settings. Hopefully I have understodd you correctly and have not cofused the issue further. AC DC Posted October 4, 2004 Author Report Posted October 4, 2004 Thanks, You are a genius. That will save me a lot of work. Quote
Andy_P Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 No problem, although I don't think 'genius' is quite right. I'm basically very lazy, and I always try to find a shortcut to everything! Andy. Quote
KinK Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 That is the true mark of genius.... (I do it too) Quote
