BugMagnet Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 Trying to connect to a Schneider TSX P57-5634 MAC is xx-xx-xx-xx-5D-11 According to some reference, the default IP *should* be 85.16.93.17 I can't ping that from a direct ethernet cable to computer. ERR is flashing red I/O is flashing red STS is blinking 3 times (yellow) How do you reset the controller to the default IP if it is now set to something else? Can a USB connection be used to set configuration? Is a special program needed to program via USB? Quote
cHud Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 Heres the method for deriving from the Mac address. (Also make sure to set ur pc in the same range before trying to connect You can connect to the processor via the mini din connection aswell but would need a cable from schneider and also you would need to know what firmware the cpu has in..(Unity or pl7 pro) Quote
BugMagnet Posted October 23, 2014 Author Report Posted October 23, 2014 (edited) After a couple days pulling hair, we found that the electricians forgot to install the B terminator block. After that was installed and we rebooted the CPU, we were able to connect using the default IP. A second issue initially was a failure to use a crossover cable for the direct PC-CPU connection. Not having one on the job, we connected through an unused port on the switch. That worked...after we had the B terminator installed. Edited October 23, 2014 by BugMagnet Quote
