Jrichlogix Posted November 5, 2014 Report Posted November 5, 2014 I am writing a program in studio ME to replace an old PV550. It is on a DH485 network communicating with 2 processors. One is a 5/03 and the other is a micrologix 1500 using an AIC. When I use RSlinx classic I can see the entire network using a UIC adaptor. When I configure the network in Studio with RSlinx Enterprise I am using DF1P2P as a driver and selecting the com port that my UIC is connected with. I can see the 5/03 but cannot see the Micrologix 1500. What driver do I need to use or what am I doing wrong? I have also tried changing the baud rates and also the error checking from BCC to CRC with no luck. Any help will be appricated.
MrAutomation Posted November 5, 2014 Report Posted November 5, 2014 I can't help you here sorry, I've never used the UIC. I would move your question to the Allen Bradley forum though. You'll probably get more answers there.
IO_Rack Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 (edited) What HMI are you trying to connect to? The old PV500 will require Panel Builder 32 software. If you are trying to connect to a PanelView 'Plus', this requires FactoryTalk View ME. The UIC USB interface uses the "DH485 UIC devices" driver in RSLinx. When you configure this driver, you'll select the COM port that has been assigned to it. Edited November 6, 2014 by IO_Rack
