The difference between the cylinder actuation must be within 10mm. What I have: A TWIDO PLC - two proportional valves commanded in 0 - 10V for cylinder actuation - two push-pull encoders, 3600 resolution per each cylinder linear course. RussB Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 Don't know anything about a Twedo, but you may want to look into two PID loops whos outputs go into a third PID loop that drives both proportioanl valves? Of course that would mean that all mechanical and hydraulic parts of each cylander are nearly identical, and stay that way. Or better yet get two hydraulic servo valves that can be setup as master and follower. Quote

However, for just two axes the RMC 70 may be a more economical approach. http://www.deltamotion.com/products/motion/rmc70/ I've been using these for several years now and they are super easy to set up and program. MrAutomation Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 I'm actually doing a similar application, and I'm familiar with the RMC. Currently, for us, it's a toss up between RMC150, 1756-M02AS (Control Logix), or a new device called the Bosch IAC (Integrated Axis Controller) valve. It has all the motion control functionality built right in to the servo valve, and I just communicate using Ethernet/IP. I think it's a pretty interesting device. Has anyone used it before? Quote
