Munir Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 hi, in fx2n specfications it is mentioned that it had around 7800 latched data registers.are they directly for use or had to set a bit for them that will enable all these latched data registers.and can i use normal counters instead of high speed counters for counting pluses.coz in fx2n high speed counter are less in number.or is there any other way to increase the number of high speed counters Quote
Ron_S Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 There are 8000 D registers ( D0 - D7999) of which you can set up to 512 to be retentive (D0 - D511) Not including File registers which you can add up to another 7000 at the cost of available program steps. (all these settings are in 'parameters') The number of HS counters is set and cannot be increased and the speeds they will count depends on how many you use. Quote
Munir Posted March 6, 2015 Author Report Posted March 6, 2015 after d511 other data registers would work as rententive to or it will end here. can normal counters b used for counting encoder pluses.if yes then which type of encoders should i use Quote
kaare_t Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 1. Yes, dataregisters above D511 are automatically retentive. 2. You should get an encoder with as low pulses as possible per revolution, then you will just have to try it. Quote
