Joe E. Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 Ok, I haven't used the built-in alarm ticker before. In previous projects, I would "roll my own" using a multi-state indicator that the PLC would scroll through to display the active alarms in turn. The ticker does that automatically, which I like. What I really don't like is how it blinks the text of unacknowledged alarms. I think the background color is more than enough to draw attention without the blinking, which, frankly I find very irritating. Is there a way to turn it off? In case it's helpful, this is a new application in a G308A210 using Crimson 3.0 build 579.003 Thanks!
TimWilborne Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 Yes I've always though having the red background was enough also. There is no way I know of to turn off the blinking. The only other thought I have would be to use the GETALARMTAG function to create your own ticker but that is a lot of work for when you have something that is almost what you want. I would call Red Lion and at least get it put on the list. I might be easy enough that is shows up in a few builds.
