Crossbow Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 High speed processing. The fixed cycle times can be set as low as 0.125ms. I don't think there are many applications for 200 axes of motion in a single controller, but it's lightning fast and easy to integrate. So it has the capability to speed up applications where even an NJ5 is working well. Plus having the NX bus on the right side instead of the old CJ bus means bus update speeds are much faster. All required to make the CPU go faster. 2 Quote
SysmacUser Posted April 5, 2015 Author Report Posted April 5, 2015 (edited) There are applications in the high tech semiconductor market that require fast motion control. On the other hand there are machines that require to synchronize more than 100 axis. NX7 is a super-gifted PLC, and can do both at same time since it's four core Processor can handle 2 motion cores in parallel. Edited April 5, 2015 by SysmacUser 1 Quote
