kaiser_will Posted April 11, 2015 Report Posted April 11, 2015 Customer is in a location with poor power quality, in which they often have power outages. The machine has multiple servo controllers driving integrated motion devices. If the power is interrupted, many of the devices get damaged. I am looking for a short-duration 3-phase power source to allow the servo controller velocity to be taken to 0 to avoid mechanical damage. A UPS is beyond the budget and provides ride through power (longer-duration) which is not needed. We just need 2-3 seconds of power to get the servos to 0 speed. Quote
Sergei Troizky Posted April 13, 2015 Report Posted April 13, 2015 What power do you need during this seconds? What servodrives? Do they have DC bus terminals? Quote
kaiser_will Posted April 13, 2015 Author Report Posted April 13, 2015 480V power, to G&L/Kollmorgen servo drives. I will have to check back on the DC bus terminals. Quote
Sergei Troizky Posted April 13, 2015 Report Posted April 13, 2015 480V is not power, it's voltage. What power? Quote
kaiser_will Posted April 16, 2015 Author Report Posted April 16, 2015 Excuse the over-sight. I do not have figures for calculated power load, yet. I anticipate no more than 5kW. Quote
