Ron_S Posted June 12, 2015 Report Posted June 12, 2015 After being barged into and nearly knocked over several times while programming inside a panel I got the customer to buy me one of these........... I was in a dangerous place where heavy carts were constantly been pushed by me The panel had guard rails in front but I had to remove them to get access. I could program in complete safety.........and they work perfectly from over 10M away. Quote

Ron_S Posted June 13, 2015 Author Report Posted June 13, 2015 I actually got it from eBay for nearly half that price. Very handy piece of kit where you can't find a good place for your laptop. Quote
Theo V Posted July 3, 2015 Report Posted July 3, 2015 Hi Ron_S, Do you already have some experience about the range (distance) between the bluetooth device and your laptop in an industrial enviroment? Just curious. Best regards, Theo V. Quote
Ron_S Posted July 4, 2015 Author Report Posted July 4, 2015 I did a bit of testing while connected and I lost connection at about 13M (but that was with the panel door shut) With it open I never lost connection. Quote
Theo V Posted July 4, 2015 Report Posted July 4, 2015 Hi Ron, Thanks for this feedback. I like the idea of the wire less connection also as a galvanic separation. Best regards, Theo V. Quote
