G5 Servo Origin Sensor

Could someone please tell me the best way to utilise the Origin Proximity Sensor for a R88D-KN0-ML2 Drive. It looks to me as though it should be posotioned at the start of the Ball Screw stroke so that when the Ball Screw is travelling back it senses the Auto Switch and brakes. Does it also act as a datum for the Incremental Encoder? It says in the manual to use Input 4 but I noticed in CX Motion that it does not appear as a Monitored Input unlike Forward and Reverse Limits. There is a setting in CX Moyion for the Origin Sensor but not sure what to set that to. Regards
