I have an FX1s and a Hmi i'm looking to connect together (Via RS485) but am i right in thinking the socket on the front i use for programming the FX cant be used to connect the Hmi to??
Ron_S Posted October 25, 2015 Report Posted October 25, 2015 Depends on the HMI. You connect Beijers HMI's to that port and use transparent mode on the HMI to program both the HMI and the PLC.
Inntele Posted October 25, 2015 Report Posted October 25, 2015 The programming port of FX PLC (MiniDIN8 socket on its front panel) is RS422 with support of MELSEC FX Programming Tool Protocol. So you can connect the HMI to this port of PLC if simultaneoulsy:1) The HMI is equipped with RS422 port (not RS485);2) The HMI has an embedded Mitsubishi FX Protocol driver, or this driver can be downloaded into HMI.
