Ron_S Posted January 11, 2016 Report Posted January 11, 2016 Hi, I am wanting to add a small HMI to a small machine that I did years ago. (To aid fault finding and batch numbers etc) I liked the look and price of the GOT1000 GT 10. (monochrome) I have never programmed one before and thought this might be a good time to advance my knowledge. However, I have looked on RSonline and see the screen (£200 +) but it's confusing as to which cable I need to program it with and which cable to connect it to an FX1n And, which version of software GT ?? I have a plethora of mitsi cables - HMI's and plc etc will any of those program it or is it new cables too? Any help will be appreciated.
Akahige Posted January 11, 2016 Report Posted January 11, 2016 Ron, The GT10s have a USB-A (big box end like the old printer port USBs) port on the back face for programming while the RS-232 or RS-422 interface plugs on the side would be for connecting to your FX1n. As for programming software any revision of GT Works will work. The latest available is GT Designer v1.145. Hope this helps
Crossbow Posted January 13, 2016 Report Posted January 13, 2016 Keep in mind GT10 is old tech. GT21 is latest family in the smaller sizes.
