NS5-TQ11B-V2 and CJ1M ETN Internet/IP settings

Hello.

I'm strugeling to setup communication betwen NS5-TQ11B-V2 and CJ1M ETN via Internet/IP.

I have configured PLC: IP: 192.168.1.1 (Node Nr:1)

I have configured HMI: IP:192.168.1.2 (Node Nr:2)

But I can't get it to work.

I See flashing leds on PLC (RD / SD) so the PLC must be answering.

But on display I get Time-out error...

What am I doing wrong?

I do not believe the CJ1M ETN is Ethernet I/P capable. You should use FINS. If you need Ethernet I/P for some reason, you'll need to get a CJ1W-EIP21 module.

Yes. ETN does NOT support Ethernet/IP.

You have to use FINS.

You have to set node number via CX-Integrator.

It is working now.

Thanks for the feedback! It makes this thread useful for others.

Many people do not understand that Ethernet I/P is a specific protocol. The I/P stands for "Industrial Protocol" utilizing CIP communications. Not all Ethernet devices support it.
