GOT1455 install using GT3

Hi, I'm trying to modify a project.gtw file format, save it under the same file name and re-download to my GOT, overwriting the existing version. But when I do nothing appears to have changed. The write to GOT installs OS and project and the GOT tells me everything is seemingly correct, yet I see no visible change to my screens. I am simply for now trying to alter the colour of some text. 

Now this file was originally written using GT2.gte format (for a GOT1100 series), but the GT3 software allows me to open this and re-save as GT3.gtw  so installs fine into the new GOT. SO why can't i seem to be able to edit it? I must be doing something wrong?
