how to count number of ON bit in a word?

    in Omron that is a command to count how many bit that are in ON state, any similar  instruction in GX Work 2?

Which PLC are you using?

There is the instruction SUM in FX PLCs. This instruction counts the number of "1" (ON) bits in the data of a specified device.

Hi Simonongsk, In the dowload section under manuals tutorials I've uploaded the FX3 programming manual.

Chapter 12.4 Page 339 tells you more about the SUM instruction. I hope this helps you out.
