David A. Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Need input. I would like to know which HMI Software you think is the best to use when needing to use a scaled AuotCad drawing for floor layout on HMI screen?? I will be using some control buttons inside the Autocad drawing area. I will be doing door lock control, the customer would like to have the control button at the door location on the HMI screen. We have been just using standard Touchscreens with a different page for each area, but we need to do the whole floor layout on this project. Will also need to be able to zoom to each area of the floor layout. Thanks for any help AA in Alabama Quote
Chris Elston Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Anything I've used that is "industrial" such as Panel View, Proface, QuickPanel, etc...only supports .BMP files and generally takes some time in Photoshop to get them looking like you want them. I've had better luck with using a computer based HMI program. Such as RS VIEW. The new Panel View Plus might be an option since it's really RS VIEW in the background inside an industrial HMI box. In my opinion, depending on your application, you should find what you need in any computer based HMI software made by anyone. What PLC will you be using? Also look at Wonderware, they support some nice graphics. If your looking for an industrial HMI solution, you can check out Parker's CTC screen or the new Panel View Plus. Quote
