Problem with program HMIGTO5310 Versus XBTGT5320

Need your helps Guys,

My XBTGT5320 was defective, then i want to replace with HMIGTO5310. My questions:

1. Can i use the old program (firmware V6.1), downloaded to new HMIGTO5310 (firmware V0.3)? How?

2. What version of Vijeo Designer that i should use?

It depends on what version of vijeo designer the original program was written. If it is after v5 (not 100% sure) then you can open it with the latest software. Then just change the model number to the hmigto5310 and download. I think the hmigto series was introduced with vijeo designer v6.0

You can't open the Vijeo Designer 4.3 project directly with Vijeo Designer 6.0.

Sending the project to Schneider Support (Send the VDZ export file) should get someone to migrate to a version of atleast 5.1, which you can then import into Vijeo Designer 6.0 without issue. That is usually the procedure atleast in Canada.

You can change the target from an XBTGT to HMIGTO HMI at that point.

1) When I try to open my project in latest Vijeo Designer software I got this message "The project cannot be opened because it was created with a version of Vijeo Designer that is no longer compatible".

This message mostly occurs when you open the Vijeo Designer older version (V4.60 or below) project backup . To resolve this error you need to first open this project backup with Vijeo Designer Ver 4.6 to 5.0 and change the target type to XBTGT Series or other version which were available in latest VJD version , save the project backup and export it in *.vdz format. Now when you open this backup in latest Vijeo Designer version it will automatically update this project backup .

Vijeo Designer v6.2 can open applications that are created with the following versions:

·        Vijeo Designer v5.1 (and associated patches)

·        Vijeo Designer v6.0 (and associated patches)

·        Vijeo Designer v6.1 (and associated patches)

If the project is older than v5.1, then open the project is v6.1, export it back out to a VDZ, and then import into v6.2.

Causes and Fixes

Vijeo Designer 5.0 only accepts to open projects from Vijeo Designer 4.4 or newer. This was a marketing decision. So, generally speaking, here is the procedure to follow to convert a project from Vijeo Designer 4.2 or 4.3 to Vijeo Designer 5.0:
1. Install Vijeo Designer 4.4.
2. Open the old project into Vijeo Designer 4.4.
3. Make sure the project builds successfully in Vijeo Designer 4.4.
4. Save the project in Vijeo Designer 4.4.
5. Export the project from Vijeo Designer 4.4.
6. Uninstall Vijeo Designer 4.4.
7. Install Vijeo Designer 5.0.
8. Import the Vijeo Designer 4.4 project exported at step 5 into Vijeo Designer 5.0.
9. Open the project in Vijeo Designer 5.0.
10. Make sure the project builds successfully in Vijeo Designer 5.0.
11. Save the project in Vijeo Designer 5.0.
12. Export the project from Vijeo Designer 5.0.
