Lars F Posted July 21, 2016 Report Posted July 21, 2016 Hi, I have successfully converted F940Got HMI software to GT1000 and since the conn. to the plc was the same 9-pin dsub as on the original HMI it all worked fine. Now I have converted F930Got (smaller HMI) to GT1030 but the plc comms connector is different (terminal strip instead of 9-pin dsub) and I cannot figure out how to wire an adapter between the 9-pin dsub (on original plc to got930 cable) and the 9-way terminal strip. A signal pinout of the FX2N round 8-way connector would be a good start or is there a ready made connection cable with pinout somewhere on net? (FX2N-30MR to GT1030) Lars Quote
Akahige Posted July 21, 2016 Report Posted July 21, 2016 Try this startup guide for the 1020/1030 to FX. Diagrams from pages 3-7. Sorry, not familiar with the 930 enough to give you a comparison chart. Hope it helps though. GOT1030 to FX connection.pdf Quote
Akahige Posted July 21, 2016 Report Posted July 21, 2016 Ah yes...try this as well. The SC-09 is the connection cable for the A series and FX serial RS422 ports. Quote
Lars F Posted July 22, 2016 Author Report Posted July 22, 2016 Yeah, the SC09 cable drawing solved the problem GT1030 HMI now talking to plc and shows the converted program THANK YOU VERY MUCH Lars 1 Quote
Cagey93 Posted November 1, 2021 Report Posted November 1, 2021 hi, may sound simple but I am struggling to connect my got GT1030-HBD2 to an fx3s plc. After much digging, I have found that my got screen has RS232 format connection strip and the plc is 422 format. I think I need an RS232 to RS422 converter? The terminal strip on GOT screen has markings : SD,RD,ER,DR,SG,RS,CS,NC,NC. Can anybody help? Regards, Philip Quote
