JayPrakashTiwari Posted August 1, 2016 Report Posted August 1, 2016 (edited) I want to implement Omron CIP, which communicates with CJ2M CPU35 Controllers across an Ethernet/IP network using the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP). Which commands they will use? FINS? or some other commands? Can someone help me to understand the protocol or command structure which can be used to implement Omron CIP (Ethernet/IP)? Crossbow Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 It's standard EtherNet/IP. Not FINS. I'm not entirely familiar with the CJs, but in the NJs there are commands CIPRead, CIPWrite. Quote
JayPrakashTiwari Posted August 3, 2016 Author Report Posted August 3, 2016 Thanks CrossBow. Do you have some documents related to CIPRead and CIPWrite for Omron NJ series PLCs? Quote
Crossbow Posted August 3, 2016 Report Posted August 3, 2016 All clearly documented in the product manual. They were installed on your PC with Sysmac Studio. Or just locate them in the Toolbox inside Sysmac Studio and hit F1. W506 is the EtherNet/IP manual for NJ. Section 8. Quote
