xltek Posted August 3, 2016 Report Posted August 3, 2016 Hi Gentleman, I am new to 1734-IT2I configuration, Its default parameters in engineering unit is 7000 to 0 in range. When it is connected to K type thermal couple, I got 260 C reading, but the room temperature is around 27 C. I'd like to know if I need to scale the value according K type thermal couple? How to do it ? Thanks
kaiser_will Posted August 3, 2016 Report Posted August 3, 2016 Have you used RSNetworx to configure the module or is it configured by default (refer to Chapter 3)? Is it possible the module is not configured for Type K thermocouples? http://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/um/1734-um004_-en-e.pdf
xltek Posted August 3, 2016 Author Report Posted August 3, 2016 Thanks Kaiser, I am using 1769-35E and configured it on RSlogix5000. selected k type and default parameters and 10 times creading
ScottC Posted August 4, 2016 Report Posted August 4, 2016 If you configured the channel for Type K and Celsius, then the PLC input value will be degC times 10 (260 = 26.0C). The High and Low Engineering values are only used for Custom Scaling.
