Flowmeter totalizer not match with scada

Hi all,

 

I have problem the reading from Siemen flowmeter doesnt match to scada when their install data logger.

Hope any expert can advice me how to troubleshoot this problem.

Totalizers do not match.

1) What sort of flowmeter output signal is the data acquisition system totalizing?

 

Frequency flow rate?   Pulse per volume?  4-20mA,   Modbus, or Profibus flow rate?

 

2)  Is the total calculation a programmer's algorithm or a commercial PLC/HMI algorithm?

 

3)  over what period of time are you making a comparison of totals? 10 sec? 1 min? 1 hr? 8 hrs? 1 day?  1 week?

 

4) What is the magnitude of difference between the totals?   Please provide examples of flowmeter totals and the 'equivalent' system totals.
