Hi there!

I need to set up a communication link between an FX3GE PLC and a Melfa RV-2F-D robot with a CR750-D controller.

Can I use the PLC's built in ethernet port for this?

Is there a native driver for this (i.e. to read a register from the PLC into the robot controller)? Or should I use some kind of a no protocol communication?

We also have a GT1455 in the setup and had in the past a solution where the robot was talking to an FX3U trough the HMI, but there was a lag in the communication which I would like to avoid.

I am new to Mitsubishi so please bear with me. Thanks!

Hello Kahl, The standard ethernet port of the FX3GE can't be used it oonly support MC protocol for HMI/SCADA etc. for this you will need a ENET module.
