Excel DDE has me banging my head

Hello,

I've been fighting this since yesterday.  I have a DDE topic getting a links from a project editor file from CX Server.  The excel updates fine and I get info at target cells. One of the DDE links is a trigger to fire a macro.  It doesn't work!  Worksheet_Change has been tried.  It only works when there is a manual change on the page.  I want the macro to copy the range and insert it below, so it would copy the data indefinitely until the program crashes.  Right now there isn't much to see in the VB portion. The Macro works when I fire it manually by making a change on the worksheet but it doesn't fire for anything else.  It just sits, blankly staring at me.

End of the day, I'm just wanting to collect the data the DDE is catching.  Does anyone have an example like that? When $A$1 equals a one, run 'macro'.  It sounds easy but I'm pulling my hair out.  Please someone, for all my sanity help!
