Andrei Blagaila Posted January 17, 2017 Report Posted January 17, 2017 Hi guys, If I have a project that is designed for a Q50UDEH, will it work for example if I change the PLC type to Q100UDEH and write it on that type of PLC? I am trying to determine if by change the Q50 will go out of production, can I use the same software (with the PLC type changed) and pass to another Q family CPU (Q50 replacement or Q100)?
Gambit Posted January 17, 2017 Report Posted January 17, 2017 It will work all you have to do is make a PLC change in the software. It's the same CPU but with more programming memory
Andrei Blagaila Posted January 17, 2017 Author Report Posted January 17, 2017 Is this available for all the Q series CPU's? Only the programming memory changes? They all support the same commands and functions?
Gambit Posted January 17, 2017 Report Posted January 17, 2017 (edited) Basically yes. That the meaning of the number. These is however some small differences between the series. QnCPU QnHCPU QnUD(E)CPU QnUDVCPU There is documentation on this but It's unlikely that you would run into problems when changing CPU types. Becasue most commands ans functions are available in all series Edited January 17, 2017 by Gambit
Andrei Blagaila Posted January 17, 2017 Author Report Posted January 17, 2017 Perfect. Thank you so much!
