IO_Rack Posted February 2, 2017 Report Posted February 2, 2017 (edited) I'm attempting to create User Defined Variables for my CJ1W-EIP21 so that I may get the connection status of each of my EIP nodes. W495 (Operation Manual for NJ Series CPU Unit, CJ1W-EIP21) states you must Right Click on the unit and select Register Data Types for Units then change the Status Area Setting to User Setting and assign a variable. After Registering the Data Type (then compile) I get the following error: I've tried this in different combinations and always get the error after Registering. I have a working example in another project and cannot find the difference. 1) Is there a method of getting more details for the error? The Output window just shows Build Failed starting with the Data Types then failing everything else after it. 2) Is there a section in the project where I may see this newly registered Data Type? I don't see it in the working project either. 3) Is there a method to Unregister this Data Type? Once I Register, I cannot go back nor can I find any means of preventing this error. Thanks. IO_Rack Posted February 2, 2017 Author Report Posted February 2, 2017 I have some confidence this will solve my issue.
IO_Rack Posted February 2, 2017 Author Report Posted February 2, 2017 ...and it does, just as they said it would. :) 1
