Rhys_SSD Posted April 2, 2017 Report Posted April 2, 2017 Hi, I am trying to install GX Developer FX on my new Windows 10 laptop. Install works fine, but when I try to launch GX Developer, during the splash screen, a dialog pops up saying: "System stop failed. Please Restart Windows". Another dialog then appears saying "Last operation ended incorrectly, Restart this application". I have restarted the laptop, and trying restarting GX Developer several times but this message still appears. I have uninstalled and re-installed several times. I have also tried running the GX Developer software in compatibility mode for Windows 7 but still no luck. Has anyone seen this problem before? Thanks, Rhys PS. Using version GX Developer FX v8.78
JRoss Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 I have seen conflicts between Mitsubishi and other brands of automation software, so I currently run all my automation software in virtual machines that are isolated by brand. I've seen issues particularly with AB software keeping Mitsubishi software from working properly. My recommendation, create a fresh Win7 virtual machine and install it there. If you still have a problem, try a WinXP virtual machine. I use VMWare, but I've heard good things about VirtualBox as well.
Ron_S Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 Have you installed 'melsoft environment first. This must be installed before the main GX dev - just a thought.
Akahige Posted April 18, 2017 Report Posted April 18, 2017 Not sure if this is related, but I did run across this technical bulletin about installing GX Developer on Windows 10 operating systems. faa0210 Corrective action when MELSOFT products cannot be installed on a personal computer with a 6th Gen Intel Core CPU.pdf
