Schematic Drawing Software

Hi

Can you please advise me on a drawing package to allow me to create drawings of our electrical control panels.

We only create small panels every now and then to add modifications to existing old plant and the budget would be small for a drawing package.

This obviously rules out the like of autocad electrical.

Look at DraftSight.  There is a free version but I don't know what the licensing rules are for it.  It works pretty similar to AutoCAD and supports AutoCAD DWG files.
