benreben Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 Hello,I have a big problem with a machine that uses an FX2N.The battery of the FX2N was empty and it lost its software; I had the sources of the manufacturer I sent them by RS232, the FX goes into RUN mode. The problem is that the software control of the machine no longer communicates with the PLC. The software control communicates with the PLC via an RS232 cable connected to an FX2N-232-BD board on the PLC.Would anyone have an idea? All help is greatly appreciated Thanks (i join source of program,is an old medoc source) 916023I.zip
Gambit Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 There is nothing in the program for serial communication. not in the parameters not in D8120 and no RS instruction is used. So i don't think this is the correct program.
benreben Posted May 11, 2017 Author Report Posted May 11, 2017 (edited) is not possible that the control software send only parameters D329 to D340 at PLC and the program run "alone" without RS instruction? or maybe a non procedural protocol in PLC itself? Edited May 11, 2017 by benreben
JRoss Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 Tell us more about the control software. What is it? How does it work? How do you know it isn't communicating?
benreben Posted May 11, 2017 Author Report Posted May 11, 2017 The machine is a solder wave for electronics board. The PLC command the fluxer of the machine. i attach a photo of the PLC
benreben Posted May 11, 2017 Author Report Posted May 11, 2017 (edited) i chose in software the fluxer type with parameters see photo: http://zupimages.net/viewer.php?id=17/19/xug9.jpg Edited May 11, 2017 by benreben
benreben Posted May 11, 2017 Author Report Posted May 11, 2017 (edited) i have a control windows on what the control software send to serial : (and no receive message) http://zupimages.net/viewer.php?id=17/19/s9rt.jpg Edited May 11, 2017 by benreben
benreben Posted May 11, 2017 Author Report Posted May 11, 2017 and after few secondes have an alarm on machine: http://zupimages.net/viewer.php?id=17/19/kb07.jpg before the empty battery all was ok
Gambit Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 look like the software has a dedicated driver. Can you check/send a screengrab of the communications tab
benreben Posted May 11, 2017 Author Report Posted May 11, 2017 in the communication tab is only for attribut COM to the different device (for fluxer is COM6) i have sniff the rs232 at the PLC and the message in HEX is here
benreben Posted May 11, 2017 Author Report Posted May 11, 2017 for my first idea, the control software make the JOB; is the PLC that don't make JOB
Gambit Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 Like I mentioned before no communication setting have been created in the program. This means it can only be working in Default but that would still be bad programming. It's more likely you haven't got the correct program Which communication setting are used in the sniffer ? baudrate bits etc.
benreben Posted May 11, 2017 Author Report Posted May 11, 2017 (edited) setting used in the snifer : 9600 bauds, bits 7 ,bit stop1,no parity even if there no communication setting in the program is not possible for PLC to communicate with software control ? by another program in PLC or other? maybe a bad protocol programming in PLC? Edited May 11, 2017 by benreben
Gambit Posted May 15, 2017 Report Posted May 15, 2017 There are no settings so the RS232 would be in default. But a programmer would normally have set the correct parameters anyway.
Jirrr Posted March 25, 2019 Report Posted March 25, 2019 Hello...have You found out solution of this problem?....I have two older machine on FX2N and rs232,which,for now, communicate with 8 termocouple transmitters...I wanted to add one more but in program or param there is not any comm flag used or RS function in program....How it communicate then?
