Stuart_Wales Posted August 24, 2017 Report Posted August 24, 2017 A new site layout suggestion is to physically move machines in and out of position on wheels. One concern raised is transport protection of HMI's are they're on small hinged electrical boxes off the machines and will be prone to the odd ping when moved around. Has anyone had experience of a 'transport hood' or something similar which could protect our GOT screens when being pushed in and out of position??
kaare_t Posted August 26, 2017 Report Posted August 26, 2017 If I'm not mistaking your question, I would suggest a mechanical "cover" of some sort, hinged to the electrical box above the HMI. That way it can be lowered/raised on demand. Maybe talk to some mechanical guys? Or am I missing "the point"?
Stuart_Wales Posted August 29, 2017 Author Report Posted August 29, 2017 No mate, you've got the point. I was hoping that maybe someone had used one and there was something off the shelf. I'm going to have to get creative with a pillow and a sewing kit haha

Reinier Posted October 2, 2017 Report Posted October 2, 2017 We used rubber mountings for heavy duty applications. Wich are very common also at your local hardware store.
